The Ivies B&B provides Bed & Breakfast accommodation on Sea Road, one of
Galway city's most exclusive and historic street. The house is one of a grand
Victorian terrace built in the 1840s, whose tall ceilings and period features
offer the grandeur of a bygone era.
The house has been sensitively modernized and offers all of the modern
conveniences required by today's guests. All rooms feature up to date, en-suite
facilities, as well as TV, central heating and tea and coffee making facilities.
Visitors can relax in our spacious sitting room, and, off-street parking
is available to all guests. Cycle parking is also available.
Breakfast is served in period-style in a dining room over-looking the street, and
a full array of healthy fruits and yogurts, as well as the traditional Irish
breakfast is offered.
Special requests will be catered for.
The Ivies is located on a quiet residential road, ideally situated between
Salthill and Galway city-centre. All of Galway's key attractions are only a
short walk away: the town centre (5 mins), the National University of Ireland at
Galway (8 mins), and the University Hospital (8 mins). In addition, we are 5
minutes away from the beautiful beach resort of Salthill, which offers bathing
and leisure
facilities on Blue Flag beaches.
The major Churches and Theatres are all within walking distance, and the
historic Spanish Arch/Quay Street quarter with its wide range of restaurants is
within five minute’s walk.
The Ivies offers the ideal base for touring the mid-west, whether by car or
public transport. The train and bus station are within 10 minutes walk. Buses for
trips to Connemara and the Burren stop for collection only one minute's walk from
The Ivies.
